Duane Edward Crawford

Duane Edward Crawford, 75, died Tuesday, March 7, 2017, in Jamestown, ND. Funeral Services were held Saturday, March 11, 2017, at the Bowman Lutheran Church. Pastor Mary Wiggins officiated and burial followed in the Bowman Cemetery. Duane was the fourth child of Elmer Joseph and Mildred Lucille Kunsman Crawford. He was born on November 24, 1941, in Bowman, ND. He completed high school at Bowman High where he participated in track and football, then went on to attend Carroll College in Helena, Montana, for two years where he was a member of the boxing team. He completed his bachelor’s degree at NDSU in Fargo in 1963, then taught in Churchs Ferry, ND, for one year. 
Austin Laducer, age 21, of Belcourt, ND, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2018 at his home. Austin Allan Laducer was born on September 25, 1996, in Rolla, ND, to Curtis Laducer and Christine Allery. He was raised in Belcourt and completed his education there as well. Austin was currently a student at Turtle Mountain Community College in Belcourt. He enjoyed riding and training horses and making and writing music.

Harlan Flaata

Laura Peltier, age 94, of Belcourt, ND, passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2018, at Trinity Hospital, Minot, ND. Laura Alvina Peltier was born on November 16, 1923, in Elbow Woods, ND, to John S. and Mary Rose (McGillis) Parisien, the fifth of 18 children. She attended elementary school in Marty, SD, and graduated high school in Stephan, SD.

Austin Laducer

A memorial service for Harlan Flaata, age 89, of Bottineau, was held on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Lake Metigoshe Christian Center. Officiating at the service was Pastor Cole Bentley. Honorary casket bearers were all family, friends and military veterans in attendance. Harlan Flaata, a son of Henry and Clara (Abrahamson) Flaata, was born on July 18, 1928 at Bottineau.  He grew up on the family farm and attended Cordelia School. He entered the US Army on October 30, 1951 and served in Panama before receiving his honorable discharge on September 22, 1953. In 1955 he married Joyce Iverson and they made their home on the Flaata Family Farm. Through the years, Harlan raised cattle and grain. He also did custom baling and butchered for the Biberdorfs. Harlan passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at a Rolette nursing home.
